<p>I'm about to start my senior year and looking for Colleges that are near me (Northern Virginia). I have 2 choices so far, George Mason University and Virginia CommonWealth University and even took a GMU tour to spike my interests. What are my chances?</p>

<p>GPA: 3.2
ACT: 22 ( I plan to take another test this September to improve my score.)
SAT: 1250 (Not an SAT type of guy)</p>

<p>AP Courses I've taken so far: World History, US History, Biology, Psychology (AP Stat, AP 2D, and AP Government Senior Year)
Honors: Biology, World History, Chemistry, English 12</p>

<p>Recommendations: 1 so far
Area of interest: Graphic Design, Game Design, Industrial Design, Computer Tech</p>

<p>Any chances for GMU and VCU?</p>

<p>Catria, it can’t be. 22 on the ACT equates to about a 1030 out of 1600. And OP has said that he is not an SAT type of guy.</p>

<p>SAT was 1250/2500 scale. I prefer ACT wothout writting anyways since my score was decent.</p>

<p>Some schools don’t accept the ACT without writing. You should take the ACT WITH writing.</p>

<p>The writing section on the ACT doesn’t even impact your overall ACT score, so it rarely matters.</p>

<p>Do they take into granted the APs I take?</p>
