Chance me, please!

I was just hoping to get an idea of my chances at UNC, and comments will be appreciated! And I am an out of state student, by the way.

PSAT: 215. NMSF and likely NMF.
GPA: 3.9UW 4.3W

My essay will not be the best essay. I'm a fairly good writer, but I'm by no means the best.

Letters of recommendation will speak very highly of me.

Thank you!!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Wait, just to clarify. Your graduating class was 6 people?

Anyways, your credentials are more than enough to get into chapel hill. Especially if you can raise that SAT. (honestly your current GPA is fine anyway)

Yep, 6 people. Not 60 or 600, just six.

Thank you! That’s comforting. Do you think a higher SAT will make a very big difference? I was not planning on retaking it, but I would if it’s a make or brake part of my application.

Sorry, I meant to say your current SAT* is fine anyway.

Well, if you were applying as an in-state student I would say you are in. However since you are out-of-state I would suggest retaking for a higher SAT score. Although I think you would be within the range right now.

I think your stats are good. Since you’re out of state, you might want to take the SAT again, but you don’t have to. I think even with a 2150, you have a very good chance.

And I can’t believe your class size is 6! What kind of school did you go to, if you don’t mind me asking? I would have really liked that kind of schooling experience.

Thank you both for your input!

I might take the SAT again if it would make a sizable difference getting in.

@renover I just go to a small private school. The schooling experience was great, I very much enjoyed it. The only drawbacks to such a small school is that there are less opportunities. For example, my school does not offer any AP classes. Stuff like that.
