Chance me please

Gpa:3.6

Sat:2100

Sat subject test 800 French, 800 lit

5 ap class, not scores yet

Award. Nhs, 2 place at state declamation. All conference in soccer.

I applied through questbridge, I'll see if I am a finalist in 2 day. I am also a philosopher which I mention in my essay, no book written yet.

Demographics: I am African, first generation to attend a US college also muslim. I am mainly looking at uchicago
I am certified in human research which I am doing at our state university.
Is it also true that race might play a factor in my acceptance rate?

Bumping bumping

uchicago isn’t gonna happen

I will apply and without any doubt, I will be accepted

Are you international student?

not with that GPA you will… my friend who had the same test score and a great amount of ECs and great teacher recommendations couldn’t get in with a 4.0 UW… and she’s hispanic/first-generation college student

If there is no doubt, there is no need to chance you.

“I will apply and without any doubt, I will be accepted”

Then why did you do a chance thread?

Because I thought that there would be someone who had some common sense. Since there is no specific formula for admission.

If you are so overconfident, then prove yourself. It is great to have confidence but overconfidence can harm you. If you get in, it wont affect us, but wil affect you. If you are capable enough, get in and make yourself proud.
But mind you, colleges look at the personality of the person also… In your essay, dont be overconfident, but be confident…
Also, I dont have any authority but it would be best that you apologize to the people who spent their time looking at your thread and to chance you… Take this as constructive critisism and be sorry for what you said previously.

And also, all people would have common sense not to chance you if you dont apologize because you were rude.
I am sorry to be mean on this post but I personally didnt like the way you addressed the people who posted on your thread!

Yea I am sorry, but you would understand if someone told you could not make. I sincerely apologies.

There is no specific formula for admission, but there is admission stat. Your GPA and SAT are both below average for UChicago. How is your SAT section scores break down? The mid 50 CR+M is 1440-1540. Your current chance would be below average which is around 13%.

Omar9714, I totally understand what you mean because people are put down by others and it is sometimes too hard for them to accept. It has happened with me like a zillion times but we have to accept the truth and move on. You should try for UChicago, lets hope thar you get in.:)

Thanks I’ll keep you posted.

UChicago maybe

Maybe that’s all that I actually need.

I’m not an expert, but from my small experience with my daughter, who was accepted at UChicago last year, you need to nail their essays.

Okay, I was worried about that but I’ll focus on them. Does your daughter likes the school
