Chance me please!

I've been pretty worried about my application for a while and was wondering if anyone would be interested in chancing me for ED.

Asian guy living in Iowa in a fairly competitive High School. I have sibling legacy and have visited the campus as well as attended WashU's rep visit to my school. I used to live in Missouri, close to St. Louis.

GPA: 3.6 UW 3.8 W

I had 2 C's junior year, and also have two on my midterm report senior year. To say I'm worried about those grades would be an understatement. Basically, I messed up junior year, and I've had some issues adjusting to my senior year workload and it hasn't been working out too well for me.

Thanks!

Your SAT and GPA are average for WashU. You scores on the AP tests are not the best and your extracurriculars are decent. I’d say you have a shot, but I can’t say that you have an extremely good shot. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, it’s all a crap shoot anyways. I know it’s really hard to not think about your decision, but try taking your mind off it if possible.

Forgot to mention: Class rank 87 out of 440 or so

Thanks for your input!

Not to get off track, but how do you take AP calc ab and AP calc bc in the same year?

I’d say High Reach. Don’t worry too much about it, hopefully we both get in :)

bjdkin, BC includes everything in AB doesn’t it? So taking BC is like taking both I assume. Some schools do AB in the first semester and BC in the second.

Thanks for the clarification Tubacalfaca. We must just label ours differently, as BC here is a full year course, and yes, it includes everything in AB (so you wouldn’t take both classes in the same year).
