I have applied to CMU's School of Computer Science through Early Decision. I am personally happy with my 'Why CMU' essay. What are my chances of getting in?
Also applied to GTech and Purdue through Early Action.

Georgia Tech and Purdue look like matches for you, CMU and UIUC reaches. The only issue I can see from the above might be your lack of AP exams- although you may not have been able to take them. They might have liked to see your Physics, Math and Chemistry. But it’s too late now.

I’d say you have a reasonable chance. Your grades are okay and your extra curriculars are good but this being CMU, you’ll be facing pretty stiff competition.

GT: match
Purdue: low match
UIUC: high match
CMU: reach

CMU is highly selective for int’ls, especially the CS program.
You have a reasonable chance,but remember to have some safeties.

Thank you very much @highland_poppy and @buff1234. I have applied to CMU through Early Decision. I really hope it helps. My ACT and SAT is pretty low. I have a confusion regarding ACT, what is a 32 equivalent to?

Thank you in advance.

bump bump bump

32= 1400

Keeping in mind that you’re full pay:
Purdue = safety
GTech, UIUC = match
CMU = reach (but within reach)

Thank you @MYO,
CMU ED will help, right?

Yes, ED will help but I think their admit rate is 6% for CS, so…

Thank you @MYO :D

bumbity bump
