Essay/Personal Statement:
My essays and personal statement were amazing (As I've been told). I talked about how my GPA doesn't define who I am in my personal statement. I talked about my cutural background and family hardships and how that effected me throughout high school in my essays and it came out really well.

I know it may be a far far reach but is there any hope for me at all? I'm curious to know. I do have backup colleges that I've gotten into (Baylor and Colorado Boulder) and I also applied to some more far reaching schools as well.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, Forget the parts about me writing an essay.

I think your chances are low with that SAT. You’ll probably get into a branch campus.

Youll get into your second choice campus.

Thanks for the replies. How much of a percentage chance would you say I have at Main Campus. 10%?

I wouldn’t put a percentage on it. Unless your SAT score goes up before they review you, just assume you’re going to be admitted to a branch campus.

Basically the only thing that matters at Penn State is GPA (2/3) and SAT (~1/3) and maybe a bit of class rank if its reported.

This chart shows how much GPA is weighted http://admissions.psu.edu/info/counselors/bubble_chart.pdf

Ahhh thanks for the chart! THat was really helpful.
