Your test scores are simply too low to be good enough for FSU. Your ACT doesn’t meet the minimum requirements, and judging by your other recent posts, your SAT scores don’t meet the minimums either (500 in each section).

Even though SAT scores aren’t the most important factor for getting accepted to FSU, if you don’t have the minimum you might as well kiss your hopes goodbye.

Great information Pasbal! Thank you!
Now the real question is what Recalculated GPA for SUS does FSU accept?
My daughter has a 4.98 weighted school GPA but a 3.28 recalcualted. 1690 SAT and 24 ACT ( 26 when superscored 26 Englisha and Reading, 28 science and 23 Math) Does she have a shot?

FSU uses the recalculated GPA that corresponds to the link I provided above. Honors/Pre-IB courses are weighted an additional .25 per semester (.50 per year), and AP/IB/DE/AICE etc are weighted an additional .50 per semester (1.00 per year).

The link I posted above will let you calculate your FSU GPA, since it uses the same system that FSU uses. Unfortunately I haven’t seen anywhere online where you can calculate your FSU GPA.

If your daughter has a 3.28 recalculated GPA, that would probably be the biggest concern. If she has several AP or similar courses it will help her if her GPA is slightly low like a 3.3 (I’m guessing that if her school GPA is nearly a 5.0, her FSU GPA would be at least a bit higher than a 3.3).

She had 14 out of 32 classes listed as honors.
33/124 class rank. The school GPA provides
1 pt for honors and 2 for IB/DE. She did take a DE religion class
which would not be part of the core. Also the FSU GPA does not take into account a B+ vs a B therefore her GPA gets slaughtered. She has other safe schools which she has been accepted and believe FSU is a long reach for her. Thank you for your information and happy thanksgiving!
