Chance Me Please!!!!

If your EFC is $3,000 and unfortunately the 100% need schools are also too selective, then you’re likely to get into a lot of these schools but find them unaffordable. :s

DO apply to Berea College because that’s your best bet for a full ride.
[Home Page - Berea College](http://www.berea.edu/)

In addition, most of the schools on your list do not meet need (ie., they’re likely to ask your family to pay much, much more than your EFC, because of your stats). You may end up with a bunch of admissions but no school with sufficient financial aid. Each year on College Confidential we have students who are stuck, admitted to schools they can’t afford.
The OOS public universities are unaffordable since you’ll have to pay high OOS fees and will not have financial aid (it’s reserved to in-state students).

Have you applied to UMaine and UMaine-Farmington?

There are only 2 schools on your list where you’re likely to get both admitted and enough financial aid to attend, I marked them with a *.
Fordham and Syracuse, if they admit you, are unlikely to provide you with sufficient financial aid.

Fordham University = reach
Syracuse University = reach

CUNY Baruch = academic match but unaffordable
CUNY Brooklyn = same
CUNY City College = same
CUNY Hunter = same
CUNY Queens = same
U of North Carolina at Greensboro = academic safety but unaffordable
Pace University = academic safety and likely unaffordable
Clemson University = academic match but unaffordable

*DePaul University= academic match, lousy financial aid, but worth a try

U of Illinois at Chicago = academic safety but unaffordable

Providence College = match

George Mason University = unaffordable

Have you run the Net Price Calculators on each of these schools’website?

You need to recalibrate your list.
If you like Providence, what about Fairfield, Quinipiac, Salve Regina?
If you like schools around NYC, what about trying to get a merit scholarship from Old Westbury, Adelphi, or Iona?

I think you may have a shot at Earlham and Muhlenberg, both schools are generous with financial aid, but even these are reaches.
You may also have a decent shot at Hartwick, Ithaca, Clark, Wells, Goucher, Ursinus, Juniata, Susquehanna, all good schools that may be interested in you - fill out the “request information” form on their website to get on their radar and see if they want to recruit you!
If you want schools in/near Chicago, in addition to DePaul, what about Elmhurst and Lake Forest?
And if a large metropolis in the Midwest interests you, what about St Thomas, Hamline, or Augsburg, all located in the Twin Cities?
If you want schools in the South, what about Hendrix (reach) ?
For southern schools where your stats are likely to get you a decent scholarship, look at Millsaps (located in the state capital), Guilford (located in Greensboro NC), Eckerd (located at the beach :p), Roanoke, Randolph-Macon, Davis&Elkins?
