I know my GPA is low, but I hope that the internship and getting to know the GT admissions counselors well will make up for that a bit. What do you think?

DO you got to a really competitive school to make up for the low GPA. A school like tech basically mandates that you have above a 4.0 W GPA. Plus its in the lower 25% and whenever a stat falls in the lower 25% it’s not good.

I mean, GPA is the single most important thing in college admissions. Now from what I understand, tech is not a school that values EC’s as much as the numbers. Maybe this year they changed? Who knows? You are a girl, which helps. Also Instate, excellent. I’m not an adcom so I can’t give you an opinion. But I wouldn’t be surprised if you got deferred only because that GPA.

Just my opinion, don’t take it too seriously, I may be totally wrong. They may love your essay and EC’s and ignore your GPA. It’s all chance.
