Essays are really good, worked on them for a long time
2 cousins and a sibling currently at Tech.

In-state or out of state? That can make a BIG difference.

I guess your SAT could be better. Still, what matters most, undoubtedly, is the math SAT score. If you have an exceptionally high math score, they could easily turn a blind eye to lower CR/W scores. Do realize who you’re competing with though: the AVERAGE score for Early Action admits was 2193. And we had a 40% acceptance rate… This RD round will be the toughest one ever, so expect an average SAT score well in the 2200s and an acceptance rate very far below 40%.

My guess is this: if you took tough classes in math and/or science and did well in them, you should be fine— especially if they pay attention to your essays and legacy.

Depending on your details, I’ll call it anywhere from a low to a high match.

I am an in state student. Also my SAT broken up is CR: 650 Math: 740 Writing:620
Although the average was 2193, is it possible to get in with a number below that? And yes I took higher level AP/IB math and science classes almost every year.

I got into Georgia Tech Early Action with an SAT score of 1720. However, I have lots of extracurriculars and high grades.

What is rigor rating that GT gives your school? How many other kids from your school get admitted every year? What were your AP scores on the classes you have already taken?
Did you take any SAT subject tests? All of these things can make a difference in whether they will over look your lower than average EA admittance sat score.

walker77, what is your 1720 breakdown?

You have an ok chance, I would say. But, if you have more things that you didn’t mention here it, your chances would only increase. Good luck!
