<p>Can you please chance me for CMU, Berkeley, UMich, Stanford, Caltech, and UIUC?</p>

<p>I'm a junior from New Jersey.</p>

Weighted GPA 4.269 (should be 4.3+ at end of this year)
SAT: 2120 (will retake, expecting 2200+)
ACT: 34
SAT II: Math II (800), Physics (760)</p>

-4 years marching band
-3 years robotics
-3 years debate club
-3 years rotary club
-Co-founded STEM club in school (hold an officer position)
-Led a team to creating a mobile application & website for it (500+ local users so far, trying to expand)</p>

-Tutored math to high schoolers to help them advance past courses
-Tutoring Vedic math to 3rd graders
-Helped to organize a fundraiser which raised over 1000$
-Volunteer at local temple and religious events</p>

<p>I'm interested in doing Computer Science (however, through L&S/LSA at berkeley and umich)</p>

<p>Looks good for CMU, Berkeley, UMich, and UIUC.
If anything, your weakness is your SAT score.
Stanford and Caltech are probably reaches for you; imho, colleges look to see a wide diversity of ECs. As far as I can tell, you have academics and some music and volunteering, but they want a larger commitment in fields outside of school that you are passionate about. Find an area, write a killer essay, and you should be fine.</p>

<p>If I focus my common app essay on the application that I built and how much leadership and real world skills I learned from that experience, do you think I will have a better chance at Stanford/Caltech? This will also show how much interest I have in the Computer Science field.</p>
