Chance me please

<p>Hey guys, from NY, Emory is one of my top choices so I'd like to now where i stand! (applying intended business) </p>

<p>Stats through 11th: 91.24 (UW)/96.002 (W) GPA (upward trend, no class rank, approx.3.6 on 4.0 scale, close to 4.0+W)
SATI Breakdown: 2200 (1470/1600: 760 M 710 CR)
SAT IIs: 700 Biology(9th grade), 710 US History (11th), 650 Math IIC (12th)
APs: Euro History: 4, Biology: 3, Statistics: 3, Psychology: 5, US History: 5 (AP Scholar with Distinction) </p>

<p>Senior Year Grades 1st Semester:
French 5H - 98
Physics H - 92
Calculus AB AP - 87
AP English Lit. and Comp. - 95
AP Government - 90</p>

<p>Course Load:
5 APs through Jr YR (graduating with 9), almost all honors classes, 1 to 2 regular courses thru all of high school</p>

<p><em>Not particularly strong math student historically(high 80s-low 90s out of laziness), but interest in business has caused me to challenge myself more to do well in math. Ex. Took Math IIC, Did well on Math section on SAT, Taking AP Calc AB this year.</em></p>

<p>Essays:
CA strong and emotional...about my relationship with my best friend I lost to drugs and how that influenced my decision to join peer drug educators and help other</p>

<p>Supplement....the class i would create "Islam in the Golden Age"(sold it as well as i could)...talked about interest in programs in the other one. </p>

<p>Letters of Recommendation: One from my AP US teacher (have known him since i was a freshmen, he is the advisor of Global Awareness), One from my AP Psych teacher (great relationship with her), one from guidance counselor (confident this will be good), and one from advisor of Young Adult Advisory Council</p>

<p>You ought to have a reasonable chance (the unweighted GPA is a little low, but the rigor and upward trend and some of the AP scores could help). I can’t say for sure. The adcoms at Emory claim that even though the applicant pool size is flat, that the pool is actually a bit stronger than before. Perhaps that means that you are among the “stronger than before” or that you are now “somewhat normal” (possible given all the scholars’ apps). You’re well in the interquartile range for test scores and have decent ECs (the fact that you are an athlete and do all of this additional stuff makes you quite interesting I suppose).
