Please be honest about your suggestions.
Thanks a gon
I shall be ever grateful.

And *ton. Pardon me.
Also i have been an acting lecturer of theoretical physics and have voluntarily taught kids in kashmir, who could not afford an education or an introduction to what science has to offer. during my vacation there.

I’m sorry to say those colleges are major reaches considering your ACT score. I suggest you try to SAT. You are a very accomplished student and I think you probably could have a chance at a top university if your scores show your aptitude.

Realistic reach schools:
UMich
NYU
Boston College
Georgetown
Emory
USC
UC Berekley, UCLA

Safety:
UCSD, UCSB
U Wisconsin
Indiana
Boston University
GW
CU Boulder

You have great ECs that are unique so you may have a shot at those schools, but again your test scores are weak and your grades are declining. Also Princeton defers almost all of their early applicants, so I wouldn’t say it is an good way to judge future success in admissions.

bottom line- pretty much everything is good except the test score! if you bring that up you have a great shot at any of those schools in my opinion

@soccerlover17 I had a perfect math score in the ACT. Also I am applying for a physics major. I could have taken a retest, however my circumstances didn’t allow me to and I told the colleges about it. Some were fine with it and some never replied ? In’t there something that can overshadow my scores? & isn’t stanford know for taking students who have a low score yet able ?

I have really strong recos though. From majot Intl. Institutions including Arnold Sommerfield centre for Th. Physics and Univ of Cambridge.

Yeah for sure you still could possibly be accepted, and everything else is really awesome. I was just saying that the test scores were the lowest thing :)

so your not going to be able to retake the act or take an sat?

And yes I know my ACT is low… Took it in a couple of weeks suffering with viral fever.
Is there anything that can overshadow me score ? Please let me know. Thanks :)

Also to add to my credits are an invitation to the national society of high school scholars which I recieved this morning as a commendation for my outstanding academic achievements
Should I notify the colleges ?

Amazing ECs and good grades. You might have a good shot at MIT if you nail the essays. At the other colleges too, you have a decent chance. It would be great if you could take the ACT again or the SAT. Also, 2 SAT subjects are required at all the colleges you’ve mentioned. Check out Harvey Mudd college too. It is a really good STEM school. Good luck!

@abhi27nav Its not a matter of deserves, the whole college process is quite biased and unfair. but, please know that there are many more reputable schools in America and worldwide that have fabulous physics programs. you should not confine yourself to the few top tier schools with tiny acceptance rates or be upset if you do not get in. I don’t think anyone is a guarantee for schools like that. Every applicant should have a well rounded list. If you didn’t apply to any safeties this year there’s always next year. The education is only what you make it- if you work hard you can learn anything regardless of what school you attend. I highly encourage you to open your mind and apply to more schools that may not necessarily be ranked number 1 but offer an amazing education and experience.
