The reason for making this post is that I feel my extracurriculars are seriously lacking. My only major extracurricular is debate. I really love doing debate and have dedicated many hours a week to it and it is honestly the only extracurricular activity I have found a true passion for. I fear that my dream schools will reject me just because of my lack of ECs.

Any suggestions would be helpful, as well!

Thanks, everyone!

Your academics look very promising for all of the schools. I would say that you have a very good chance of getting in Michigan and UT, early and regular. I also think that you have a very good change of getting into the others early, but regular you will be competing with more students like yourself. Stanford is probably the farthest reach, as it is the most selective, then Columbia and MIT. The debate looks pretty strong, but schools love to see students who have been committed to one thing for many years. How long have you been doing your hours of community service? That may be a promising EC that they will like. MIT might also like to see more tech stuff, but that’s just a guess.

I have been doing my community service for 2 years. I have next year to add more hours, as well.
Thanks!
