I’m going to start writing my essays this summer
I hope to be one of the captains of Cross Country or Circle of Friends president because I now that I lack an official leadership position on my app right now.

Thank you for any insight! I know how competitive Brown is, and I hope I have even a small chance of admission.

I don’t chance people as a general point. Just want to say Brown doesn’t offer minors. Make sure you do your research!

I know that Brown does not offer minors. Slip of the tongue if you will. I know they use “concentrations.” I understand that nobody here on CC can give me a definite answer regarding my admission to Brown as no one is an admissions officer, but the whole point of “chance me” threads is for perspective applicants to gain a general idea of where they stand and what they can do to improve their chances.

You have a great shot. GPA is good. ACT is as well. Subject tests, great. It would be awesome if you could get that leadership position but other than that your extra curriculars are strong. Try to write creative and unique essays. You’re a great applicant and I hope Brown takes you. Good luck!
