There is no harm in applying EA.
However, I would say you are at about 50/50. Your UGA gpa is different than your GPA you see on your transcript as they only weight for APs rather than including honors and such as well.
Unfortunately, a 3.58 weighted is a bit below their average gpa (3.83). However, your SAT is in the middle 50%.
UGA also takes into account rigor, as you know, and 3 AP classes is lower than their incoming freshmen average of 7 AP classes. They may also consider your AP classes ‘light’ since there is a difference in difficulty when comparing AP Psych and and a class like AP Calculus.

So again, I would say 50/50. I’ve seen your stats get in about the same number of times as not. If you’re really worried and you want them to see your ECs and teacher recs, I would apply regular. Best of luck!

Thanks! I have one question, though. Do you know how much UGA takes extenuating circumstances into consideration? I missed a lot of school (I’m talking weeks/months) every year due to health issues, and I was hospitalized at least once every single year. As a result, keeping up my grades was pretty difficult. However, during my junior year I was mostly healthy and got A’s in all my classes, including my AP’s. Do you think my extenuating circumstances will have any effect on my admission decision?

@shae345 There is a “special circumstances” section of the application where you can explain this. It will definitely help the admissions see your health issues and will help your chances probably!
