<p>Hi guys, thank you for reading this and possibly giving me chances! I am applying to Yale, Duke, Wash. U., Vanderbilt, UVA, NYU, USC, Emory, Michigan, BU, GWU, and UT Austin (BHP)
I am applying as a Finance or Econ major to all of these schools.</p>

<p>Essays: My personal statement I know is very solid and most of my supplements are too but its hard to say</p>

<p>Hooks: First generation russian immigrant if that counts for anything?</p>

<p>You say you want to study Econ/Business but your ECs reflect your heavy involvement in Law. As a matter of fact, I don’t think I see any involvement in Business at all out of the ECs you mentioned. Clubs like DECA or FBLA can significantly enhance your chances at these schools. </p>

<p>We don’t have any of those clubs offered at my school and I do eventually want to go to law school but due to the lack of those clubs offered, I couldn’t do anything like that.</p>

<p>I don’t see a problem with the lack of business ECs, DECA and FBLA would be lovely, but they are hard clubs to start, depending on school structure. (I would know). </p>

<p>Anyway, they’re probably all reaches. Michigan, Emory, GWU, BU, and USC are high match/low reaches. I don’t suggest applying to so many reach schools. Pick your favorites. </p>

<p>So like I said, your ECs are amazing. All the skills you use in Law is very applicable to business, and Finance requires strong math skills, which you’ve clearly demonstrated. Most of the schools on your list are just reaches for everyone. </p>

<p>You will get into everything besides Yale and Duke. Wash U and Vandy are likelies due to the high test scores.</p>

<p>You know that it’s their business schools we are talking about, right? Michigan and NYU have one of the best business schools in the world. Especially with OP’s seeming lack of Business-related activities, he might have harder time getting into one. While high scores definitely help, it’s not everything. </p>

<p>I am getting extremely mixed signals here. I would be completely happy with Wash U and Vandy and I do realize that Yale and Duke are reaches for anyone, I just wanted to know if I had a shot.</p>
