Plan on majoring in Computer Science and minor in Economics? not sure

F, Asian (Chinese), school has at least 10 others applying, all with just as good and higher stats than I :(

Your stats are right there, don’t worry. None of the things you listed will keep you out, including what you perceive to be a lack of APs. With that being said, you must nail the essay.

You do not have a lack of APs. I took three and got in RD.

It’s really all about the essays. They need to be full of voice, but not completely overwhelming. If you have anyone proofread them, make sure they can tell you wrote it simply based off writing style and use of language. Remember, the admissions department has to try and figure out who you are and if your a good fit with only 3 essays.

Other than than, your EC’s are perfect, for they show your dedication. Just try to make it sound like you’re a well-balanced student and person.

Also remember, EA has a 10% acceptance rate, and RD has a 4.5% acceptance rate (based off last year). I’m not trying to discourage you; I’m just letting you know.

I think you’re fine. Not that this will come up during the application process anywhere (except the interview if you do one), but there is no minor in economics. Plenty of people double major Econ and CS though, or major in one and take select courses in the other.
