You may still have a chance to get in. I am also applying to U of R and my sat score is lower than their average score. I recently did an interview with an admissions counselor that went really well and he said that it would increase my chances of getting in. He also said that taking AP classes and doing extra curricular activities was very important in the admissions process. Before giving up on U of R I would try to schedule an interview and see what happens. They really focus on your personality and how your personal qualities could contribute something useful to the campus. Don’t give up you might still have a chance.

You’ve already applied so the key thing is to put it out of your mind. View getting in as a long shot so you will either be surprised in a good way or not let down.
