Thank you.

Hi there,

You should be fine for the regular decision pool. Have strong essays and letters of recommendation, and you should not have too much difficulty.

Also, how much financial aid do they normally give out that’s not merit based because 64k per year is so much

It depends on your financial need. To be awarded need-based financial aid your family will have to be within a certain income bracket. I can tell you that all my financial aid comes from a need-based award and it covers about 90% of my total expense. Again, this all depends on just much demonstrated need your family shows in your financial records. To get a good indication, utilize the university’s Net Price Calculator. It provides a good picture of how much need-based aid you’ll be awarded (if any).

Yeah I’m just concerned bc my parents are making like 110k but they aren’t willing to pay mich

If it helps at all, I had around the same GPA, but lower scores, and definitely less extra curriculars as you do, and I got in Early Decision. I know that the chances change a bit between ED and RD, but I feel like your chances are pretty high from all the information that I have researched. And concerning the financial aid, the net price calculator was right on point for what I received. I also received some merit based scholarship money, though, which is very helpful. Good luck!
