Ok so i got a pretty good idea of where im at but i want to hear what everybody would think. Im applying to most all the UC colleges next year (Im a Jr.)

UC GPA : 3.37
(kinda know my gpa is a joke)

Improv club prez
Spanish Club (3 years)
Coached + youth soccer team
Other :
Ib diploma (so took most rigorous classes)
From California
decent - above average essay
IN specific i was wondering what my chances are to UCI, UCR, UCSB, UCSC or Calstate Long Beach / Calstate Fullerton or really any other colleges that seem to be a match.
any help would be appreciated
Your SAT is competitive but your UC GPA will hurt your chances. If you can provide a good explanation regarding GPA vs Test score mismatch, you would have a much better chance at the UC’s. UC’s weigh GPA more heavily than many other schools and Cal States are all about the numbers (GPA and test scores). Intended major will also factor into your acceptances.
UCR: Match
UCSC: High Match
UCI/UCSB: Low Reach
CSULB/CSUF: Match
You might want to consider some Privates such as Loyola Marymount, University of the Pacific, University of San Diego and Azusa Pacific University. I would add another Cal State such as CSU Northridge, Cal Poly Pomona, SJSU or SDSU.
Awesome thanks for the quick response. My gpa mostly suffers from a rather lazy sophmore year, but there is some improvement to my Jr. year and I’m taking steps to include that into my essay.
