Chance me please!,

I’m an OOS student. I applied to the CBA. I have a 3.56 GPA. My ACT Composite is 27. My school doesn’t offer AP. I’m in all honors courses. Based on these stats alone, what are my chances of getting in? Thank you all!

The average GPA of an admitted student last year was a 3.97

Only 14% of admitted students had a GPA between 3.5 and 3.74.

the 25th percentile for the ACT composite was 26.

So basically, your ACT puts you roughly in the bottom 30% of admitted applicants, your GPA puts you closer to the bottom 25%.

our stats are very similar and I also applied to CBA.

how were you notified that you were accepted to Dietrich and not CBA? did you get the email or just a letter?

hoping to hear back soon.

@jolly97, Students admitted to the Main Campus get an email first. Then a letter with further details (including what school you are entering) should follow within a few days.

Best of luck!

@hailtopitt1787‌

thank you so much for answering my question here and on my thread!

The wait is totally making me anxious but I’m crossing my fingers for acceptance!

@jolly97, It can be stressful to wait, I understand. But you shouldn’t have to wait too long, we do our best to review applications as quickly as possible while still taking the time to give each applicant a fair review.

Again, I wish you the best of luck!

@jolly97 I received a letter in the mail saying I was wait listed for CBA but accepted to Dietrich. So I accepted the Dietrich offer and will just transfer into CBA while I’m at Pitt.

@Flyers25‌, You may also want to reach out to one of our current students, Tyler S., who has a profile on Twitter and Instagram (@H2Ptyler). He transferred into CBA and could tell you a little more about his experience, if you are curious.

We have a number of current students who are posting about their experiences at Pitt and are more than happy to answer questions about student life. pittstudentvoices.■■■■■■■■■■
