Sadly, I would say that there is a very low chance of acceptance. Overall, with those stats, which would be great for many other schools, are below average for UT greatly. Now some people do say that UT doesn’t look at GPA, but that is mostly for students in the top 7% and for everyone else, they do look at GPA. I also see that there is almost very little chance of being accepted into McCombs since McCombs typically accepts the top 3% of students. Being out of state also makes it much harder.
For UT the class rank is going to hurt you. However, you might be able to get automatic admission to Texas A&M. A&M automatically accepts applicants who are top 25% with a 30 ACT or 1300 SAT (reading & math). Everything that the people above me said is true. Furthermore, I’d like to add that because you OOS, you have 10 time less likely to get accepted. By law UT has to reserve a certain amount of spot for in-state applicants and because so, may competitive applicants from OOS aren’t accepted.
