Chance Me Please!

So I had a terrible freshman year (90 avg.), an ok sophomore year (93 avg), and an excellent junior year (98 avg). My overall GPA is 3.7 UW and 3.8 W. However, I’ve scored 2200 on the SAT in June (the only time I’ve taken it) and plan on taking it again, I got 5 on all of my AP exams, and I’m involved in 6 different clubs with leadership roles in all of them. I’m captain of the swim team (having been on varsity all 4 years, and recognized as academic all-state last year), a nationally recognized champion in debate, and heavily involved with Church/Volunteer work, with over 200+ hours clocked. I’ve been heavily involved with the National Hispanic Institute, winning 1st in Mock Trial and was voted a Senator. Finally, I’m a hispanic girl from a low-income family. I know my rec letters are excellent and my essays are all about improvement/ambition, just to highlight the journey I’ve had in high school. Do I have a chance applying to Columbia or Darthmouth?

What kind of school is it that 90 is horrible? Even the most brutal schools would assign at least 3.5 for that, which isn’t horrible.

Now, since you asked about Ivies, they are reaches. Just make sure you have a non-reach or two.
