Is that 3.86 GPA really weighted? What is your uwGPA? What is your intended major? Lastly, do you mean you are first generation immigrant or first generation college student?

3.86 is my weighted GPA
my unweighted is a 3.56 (I received 2 C’s in soph year due to stress/work related to my mother’s cancer diagnosis)
intended major: biology
sorry for the confusion; I am a second generation (my parents were immigrants)

So you are not first generation college student. Your family immigration status has no impact on your college application at all as long as you are a citizen. UMich does not superscore. Your ACT is slightly better than SAT without superscoring and it is slightly above the admission average for UMich LSA. However, your uwGPA of 3.56 is way below their admission average of 3.85. UMich considers GPA to be very important and more so than test score. This would make it a reach for you.
