Really good (not to brag!)- my main interest is neuroscience, but I’m actually naturally better at English and history. I think my common app essay really contextualizes my transcript well. I also think my honor code essay and why Haverford essay are very strong.
Please let me know what you guys think! Thanks so much in advance.
I’m also applying ED to Haverford and I think you have a pretty good chance (probably better than me). I can’t find any weak spots in your app, the only thing that would improve your chances a little bit more is if you interviewed and visited the campus. Other than that, good work!
@poopinjay I really loved the honor code at Haverford, the senior thesis project, and the general collaborative spirit of the school. I loved Swat too, but I just think Haverford is better for me in terms of fit!
Hey @arielsayshello and other people here.
Can you please chance me?
GPA 4.0/4.0. Have taken a really tough Alevels curriculum with subjects ranging from Math and Physics to Economics and Journalism. I have about 9 Courses in current year and have still maintained exceptional grades in my first trimester sessionals (4.0).
My ACT is a 32. (28 E, 35 M, 31R, 32S). My Maths 2 subject score is 740 and Physics is 720. Other than that I have a really strong academic profile for last 4 consecutive school years.
My commonapp essay is a pretty personal essay which according to many is a strong displayer of who I am and how i have strongly faced risen over a discrimination that i faced.
My Why haverford essay is pretty good showing that i had researched well.
My Honor code essay was very strong. It talked about how i had my own honor code as headboy to how honor codes will help with my time in Haveford and future.
My Letter of Recs, eventhough i havent seen them, were hopefully very strong. One even came from UC Bekrley PHD who saw me as an influential leader in class at Stanford.
As far as my Extra curriculars are concerned, I have attended a Stanford Pre Collegiate summer program where i did great and got a letter of REC from My professor too. I was the Headboy (President) of my school and was also the Vice President (Deputy Headboy) of my school for consecutive years. I have 600+ hours of Community service. Internship at BBC and Frontier Core Hospital. I tutor students for free as well. I am Regional level swimmer and have been winning swimming competitions. I have founded two socieities as well which have been succesful in making an impact on lives of many people. I am a debater too. I have been chairing and Judging MUNs and Parliamentary debating competitions after ofcourse winning a dozen.
I also got to Visit states for GYLC a Conferrence as an ambassador of Pakistan.
My Honors include me winning International Kangaroo maths competition in my region and also coming first in Spelling bee competitons. National gold medals for Olevels and Alevels grades are also there. I was also a high achiever at United states Educational foundation pakistan ceremony, selected among 20 students from a pool of300000.
Your profile makes you a strong candidate for admission, although your posting suggests your English writing skills (or perhaps just your keyboarding skills) are a little choppy. If that comes through in your essays I am not sure how the admissions office would react. Still, I’d wager you’ll get in if you applied. Come back and let us know how you did.
