Chance Me, Please?

I am absolutely in love with Wellesley College after having a wonderful interview with a local alum. I did not ED, but I do plan on EE-ing. I am concerned about my stats and was hoping anyone who knows about the Wellesley community could let me know my chances.

-Public school in Silicon Valley (very competitive)
-GPA: 3.89/4.0 (W), 4.12/4.0 (W)
-Top 20% of my class
-SAT scores: 710 (M) 710 (W) 730 (CR)
-SAT scores (superscored… not much of a difference): 720 (M) 720 (W) 730 (CR)
-Essays: still working on them, but I believe I am a decent writer.
-Interview: Went well, and I followed up with a thank you note.

-Plan on pursuing sciences and French at Wellesley.
-Sufficient leadership and extracurricular activities.
-Maintained a good balance between science and humanities, although my AP classes have been in the sciences except for French.
-Got a C in AP Calculus BC, but improved it to an A in second semester. I also got two Bs in AP Chemistry (this catastrophe happened in junior year). I have As in all my other classes.
-Letters of Rec: From Calculus teacher and French teacher. I am confident they are good letters.

I’m extremely stressed out and have been considering retaking my SAT. Would this be advisable? Is there any way to prove that Wellesley is my top choice, and I would do anything to get in despite my poor scores?

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

First of all, your SAT scores are about average for Wellesley, so I don’t think you need to go out of your way to improve them. I think your improvement in calculus speaks well of you, and you’ll be helped by the fact that your teacher is writing one of your letters of recommendation.

Just focus on making your essays as good as they can be. If you have the chance to go over them with a teacher and counselor, do so. That’s where you can show Wellesley why you’d be a great fit for their school. Good luck!
