Chance Me Please?

I’m a high school junior wondering what my chances are at these schools for their nursing programs

My schools:

  • University of Pittsburgh
  • University of Washington
  • University of California-Los Angeles
  • Washington University
  • Johns Hopkins University

  • Emory University
  • New York University
  • Boston College

Stats:

  • Unweighted GPA – 3.64 (out of 4)
  • SAT I – 1930
  • AP courses - AP US HISTORY, AP LANGUAGE AND COMPOSITION, AP PSYCHOLOGY ( currently taking them and getting A’s and B’s )
    Current Rank: 133/700

EC’s:

Ethnicity: Asian
Major of interest: Nursing

-My grades have been in a constant upward trend. Freshman year I only took one honors course, Sophomore year I took three honors courses, and Junior year I’m taking all AP and Honors courses.

I understand some of these colleges are out of my league, but I might as well list my reach schools as well

UCLA: High Reach

Georgetown is definitely a no-go with the SAT/GPA combo. If you had a 2300, it would help your low GPA, but you don’t have that. Same with Washington STL, NYU, and John Hopkins. You need to apply to schools where your stats are in the 25%-75% range. My GPA is lower than yours, but my SAT is higher, and I have more ECs and I’m not bothering to apply to NYU anymore because I honestly have no chance. If you were to raise your SAT, depending upon your UC GPA, you could have a SMALL chance at UCLA, but not very likely. BC might be a reach too. Stick to the smaller liberal arts and state schools if you do not plan on raising your SAT.
