what are my chances???

Your SAT score is great, I would try and raise your GPA as much as possible during your last semester of junior year.

Raising your GPA is never a bad idea, but maybe it’d be comforting to know that I got into Computer Science (also part of the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences) with a 3.57 W GPA and a 28 ACT (equivalent of an 1860 on the SAT).

Like the previous comments, I’d recommend that you raise your GPA as best you can, and try to take APs or some kind of rigorous course load in your senior year. I’d also say that you should probably have at least one EC that pertains to biology/medicine so that admissions counselors know that you’re passionate about your intended major.

@TheLiberalPanda i shadow physicians at my local hospital! and I’m taking anatomy and waksman next year as well as 4 aps

Aaaah, I see. Well, when it comes time to do those applications, you’ll be able to elaborate on the hospital volunteer work. I think you have a really good shot at Pitt!

I can almost guarantee you’ll get in!!! I got into Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences with a 1890 SAT, 3.6 GPA, all honors classes & 3 APs. You should be fine
