Hi! I applied to UMD by the priority deadline, and I was just hoping I could get some feedback.
UMD is my top choice, so I am hoping I have a chance. I am hoping to major in Marketing.

Thanks so much! Any responses would be very appreciated!!
You have a 70% chance. Your gpa might be a bit low but your ec’s and sat definitely makes up for it. I had a 1740 and 3.8 gpa with a few ec’s but no big awards. I was in your position last year and getting accepted to my #1 school was such a relief! You’ll most likely be a Terp! Good luck!
Your essay also has a big impact on the decision
@Purple205 thank you so much for your response! I think my essay was pretty good so hopefully I have a chance.
We have very similar S.A.T. scores! Math: 690. Reading: 560. Writing: 640.
I have a 3.89 unweighted GPA with a 1600/2400 SAT. I have a solid amount of extracurriculars with 2 sports each year and I have worked 2 different jobs. I also went on a service trip if that helps at all. I am instate and my two older siblings graduated from UMD. I am applying to the Business school but personally I think I will not get right into the business school but I think I will still receive acceptance under “letters and sciences.” What do you guys think my odds of getting into Maryland are??
FYI, when trying to assess your “chances,” the SAT score out of 2400 is not relevant. The only relevant SAT score is the combination of M +CR scores, so it would be out of 1600. Maryland does not consider/look at/factor in writing score at all.
