Hi I was wondering if you all could chance me for the following colleges
William and Mary
Notre Dame
Emory
Georgetown ( I know this is a big reach but is it even worth me time to apply? )

Academics-
-GPA: ~3.7/3.8 with upward trend (I know it’s not ideal)
-ACT: currently 33 hoping to reach 34
Reading: 36
English: 35
Science: 30
Math: 29
-I took the hardest classes I could freshman and sophomore year which included pre-ap and 1 AP, however, this year I’m taking “regular” science and math courses. I should graduate with around 9 AP courses
-Class rank: ~20% :frowning:
-I’m taking mostly AP social sciences and history classes next year

Extracurriculars-
-Member of most select choir
-VP community help club
-Club fencing two years, competed at Junior Olympics in Richmond
-Walmart cashier for 6 months
-Election Internship
-Most likely Boys state this summer
-Economics for leaders this summer at William and Mary
-going to learn to fly this summer
-multiple scuba diving certifications
-1 year of football
Other Info-
-I’m currently running for several officer positions for senior year but I don’t know if I will get them
-Recs and essays should be good
-I’m very passions about politics so I’m going to use that as my focus for essays and interviews
-I’m applying for the ROTC scholarship

Hey! I’m also a junior with an interest in politics! Your ECs are pretty strong (I’m going to Boys State too! :D) but your GPA could use some work. What did you get on your AP tests? Most of those on your list would be high reaches. You have everything going for you, and with a bit of work on your GPA, I’m sure you can get into at least 2!

Thanks! I’ve only taken the AP world test so far and I got a 3 on it because I did not finish the essays. Sophomore year really messed up my GPA because I was lazy. This year I’ve gotten a 4.4 last semester and likely will this semester. I should be able to make A’s first semester of senior year too. But at this point I can’t drastically increase my GPA. The best I can hope for is probably a 3.72/4 by the end of my first semester of senior year. I would be thrilled if I could get into any of those universities though.
