I know my gpa is very low for Hopkins… I didn’t work as hard as I should’ve my Freshman and Sophomore years, and by the time I got to my Junior year (and realized into 1st quarter that I really needed to step it up) it was kind of too late to really change my cumulative gpa. Regardless, I would really appreciate any advice/general words of wisdom! This college app process is seriously stressing me out. Thanks again!

Currently on mobile, so I won’t say too much. Altogether, I think you have a pretty good chance. 3.77 is a bit low, but not impossibly so. Your ECs look good and your test scores look good. I would suggest that you also take some subject tests, like math 2, bio, or chem in order to appear more competitive. Good luck. The college application process is super random, so anything could happen. Are you ED??

@vrhou98 Yeah, I’ll be taking the subject tests this fall so hopefully I score well on those. I’m not ED which is making me worry a little because I know that my chances would be slightly higher with ED…

This looks pretty solid. Not sure if JHU admissions even looks at freshman grades and it doesn’t hurt to have an upward trend in your grades. Your ECs are well rounded and broad, but not all over the place; you clearly have a few activities that you’re really passionate about. Write a good essay and you can probably make up for your GPA. Best of luck!
