Applying to: Emma Willard, Chatham Hall, St. Timothy’s, Mercersburg, Exeter, Loomis, Hotchkiss, and Choate
SSAT: 81 percentile, retaking in Jan. Reading and Verbal were great, so really studying the math to up it.
ECs: Swimming (3 years, times aren’t the greatest because this is the first year competitive), student helper in the office, shotput 2 years, volleyball last year (but missed try outs this year)
Community Involvement: helped build a greenhouse for the local food co-op, volunteer yearly at a local fishing tournament, collect donations yearly for Christmas Cheer, assisted with a domestic violence awareness campaign.
Groups/Activities: Aboriginal youth group and previously in Girl Guides
Essay: According to everyone that has seen it - very unique, memorable, and shows off the connection to Aboriginal culture
Recommendations: Been told they are good. I have had the same teacher for math and english for 2 year so it’s a pretty solid relationship, and because of the work in the office same with the principal
Grades: All A’s every year except gym which is a B
Hook: Native American (not registered but actively cultural)
Other: Almost fluent in French, Dual citizen US/Canada, and like to deviant art account provided in applications under “media links” - hoping for significant FA
Interviews: all skype - none happened yet!
