I think Boston University is a possible college for you to get into, given your decent SAT score. However, i believe that NYU (if you’re applying to Stern) is definitely a reach. There are many candidates that get rejected with far better stats and ECs. However, it’s not over until it’s over. Best of luck!
Unfortunately I don’t know enough about the other schools to give you an accurate prediction. Sorry about that.
OK, so an overview of the impression I get from your profile. You’re a pretty good student, not outstanding within your school. Your ECs are pretty diverse, although there’s not much academic in them other than NHS, and you don’t have leadership positions, which are what really tend to turn ECs into an advantage. So I don’t think your ECs will give you too much extra leverage. You’ve got good tests scores, so here we go school by school. Oh, and I think your GPA converts to like a 4.2 on a 5.0 scale? Correct me if I’m wrong
Binghampton- I’d guess you have around a 50-60% chance.
Boston- About a 50-60% chance here, too
Colgate- About a 80+% chance here, You’ll get in.
Lafayette- Not sure here I’d guess around a 40% chance?
Colby- about a 30% chance here
Scranton- You’ll get in here, 90% +
NYU- maybe 50/50 here.
These are pretty subjective, but you’re applying to competitive majors at these schools. I also don’t have a good idea of what essays/ recs you have, so that could change these. Good luck regardless.
Why do you think I have such a high chance at Colgate? Thanks for responding though!
I think you’re pretty on the nose for their accepted people, but who knows.
Scranton is a reach. 0% chance.
I would really try to get Eagle rank. Have you done your project yet?
