Hey guys, I’m a junior from the teeny state of New Hampshire wrapping up my junior year. I’ve been perusing some of the chance me posts on here and decided to give it a shot. Feel free to be critical! There’s really not much I can do at this point anyways :))
UW GPA: 4.0556/4 (not sure how??)
Class Rank: 1/500 for now…
SAT: 1530- 770 Math, 760 Reading/Writing
Subject SAT: all I have so far is an epic fail at Math 2, which I’m going to retake along with Biology in June
Potential Major: Environmental Science, I think
AP Classes:
9th grade: AP World History (5)
10th grade: AP Macroeconomics (5), AP Statistics (4)
11th grade: AP Physics 1 (really mucked that exam up this week haha), AP US History, AP Calculus, self study AP Lang
12th grade: hopefully AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Calculus BC, and maybe AP Literature
Sports:
Tennis for 2 years, quit this year for unified track, but might go back senior year
Captain of JV field hockey and captain of my freshman team (I suck at fhockey though omg)
Clubs:
Adventure Club
Arts & Crafts Club founder (I frickin love to tie dye)
Captain of the Math Team
Science Olympiad
Other Stuff:
National, Math, Science Honor Societies
ARML- state math team basically (what a nerd lol)
I worked as a teacher at a math school but I quit sophomore year because the bosses were awful
Walk dogs and run YT channel at the animal shelter
3rd place at the GITW Film Festival in Green IS category
I entered the March for Science video contest too but I think I lost haha
3rd place at Science Olympiad states- Disease Detectives
I also got accepted into the Dartmouth Health Careers summer camp 2017
I don’t know much about my essay yet, but I’m thinking of writing about that one time my friend and I went on a hike at 5 in the morning to catch the sunrise because we’re lowkey crazy about the outdoors
I also don’t know much about recommendations, but I definitely know I’m asking my calc teacher for one because she is honestly the best and I think she knows the true me very well.
I’m a Caucasian female in public school with no hooks or honestly anything really special about me, except for the fact that my brother went to Harvard, which I don’t think counts as a legacy. My parents immigrated from Russia and I speak Russian fluently, but I think that’s nothing new. Income is around 150K I think.
Schools:
Harvard (EA), Yale, Dartmouth (I don’t think I’m qualified and it’s totally insane but the rents are making me haha)
Tufts (MY DREEEEAM)
Johns Hopkins
Northeastern
McGill
UConn
UNC Chapel Hill (EA because I heard you’re allowed to apply to public schools too)
Maybe Duke or UPenn or Carnegie Mellon… are those extreme reaches for me too?
Thank you so much in advance, and if you guys have any schools you think I should check out with my stats please let me know!!
