Chance Me Please :)

Hi! I’m an incoming senior from Southern California, and I was hoping to see what my chances would be to get into some of the schools that I’m applying to. Also if possible, could y’all please suggest other schools that could be probable/safety schools?

  • USC
  • University of Chicago
  • Northwestern University
  • University of Pennsylvania
  • Stanford
  • Columbia
  • NYU
  • Dartmouth

Which schools are you applying? Intended major? CSU’s and UC’s do not consider race/ethnicity in their admission decisions.

Hey sorry about that! Just fixed my post

check out MMSS at Northwestern

A safety could be Babson college in Massachusetts

Unweighted GPA?

You have competitive test scores, excellent EC’s and your weighted GPA is on target.

Depending upon UW GPA, all the UC’s and USC are within Reach. USC/UCLA and UCB will still be tough admits. You might want to add UC Davis to your list of Match schools due to the proximity to the state capital (good internship possibilities).

Cannot comment on the rest of the schools. One of the many Cal States or UC Riverside would be good safety schools.

Best of luck.

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19:

UCB: 14%
UCLA: 14%
UCSD: 44%
UCSB: 54%
UCD: 58%
UCI: 65%
UCSC: 85%
UCR: 94%
UCM: 96%

You mentioned quantitative social sciences at Dartmouth but you really should be looking at MMSS at Northwestern. Check out their website; compare the curriculum and you will see why.
