Chance me for the following schools as an undergraduate business major, likely finance concentration.
USC
Texas
Indiana
Florida
Texas A&M
Illinois
Here are my stats
3.57 unweighted
4.06 Weighted
Huge upward trend, straight A’s for sophomore and first semester of junior year and one single B+ second semester of junior year.
SAT is currently a 1260 but am aiming for a 1350-1400.
350 Hours community service from a variety of things such as Tutoring for 3 years, tour leader for freshman orientation for 2 years, helping in a year round elementary school for a summer, working on multiple environmental projects.
I’ve also played three years of basketball, a year of football (jv team captain), been on my schools mock trial team for 2 years, am a member of NHS, and will receive a community service excellence award.
Also I am working around 40 hours a week this summer doing Social Intelligence and research for a marketing and media company. I will also work for this company this year for around 20-25 hours.
Lastly, I’ve taken a rigorous course load with 3 ap classes junior year plus a community college finance class. I’ve taken a total of 4 Ap Classes thus far (APUSH, AP Lang, APES, and AP World) and 3 community college classes ( Sociology, Finance and Marketing). I received 3’s on APUSH and AP Lang this year and an 4 on APES.
And I’m taking a strong senior course load with 4 AP classes and one Honors class plus either work study or another community college class.
I’m also from a poor intercity school in California. And am a white male.
Thank you!
Also these were my GPA’s by year
Freshman 2.8 UW, 3.2 W
Sophomore 4.0 UW 4.4W
Junior 3.9UW 4.6W
Okay… This is a little messy…

Thanks @ConcernedRabbit
SAT 1260 but goal is 1350
I will only comment on USC (University of Southern California)? It is a Reach with a lower than average UW GPA and test scores.
Thanks @Gumbymom thats what I figured I think USC and UT are both low reaches because USC is so competitive and UT accepts 90% of their students from instate
Texas what? University? College? Which one? Please be a bit more specific.
University of Texas at Austin, sorry for the lack of clarification. @WeTheBest
Good GPA, your ecs show leadership and commitment, your work experience clarifies your major/passion. Try to do as well as you can in the SAT and ACT exams (if youre planning to take both). I think you do have a chance to join all these schools. Good luck! (maybe chance me back?)
Thanks! And will do! @ivystateofmind
