Good ecs that show both commitment and leadership and have to do with athletics and school. Volunteering and working show great commitment. GPA is a little low but if you underline the rigor of your school (is it high ranked?) then i believe it wont be a problem. Congrats for your recs and for taking all classes! In general if you do very well in the SAT exams you have a chance to attend all these schools. Good luck! Maybe chance me back?
Thank you very much for your reply. My school is not that well known, but our counseling department shows the rigor and requirements of our school. We only have AP’s and not honors, so its almost like our regular classes are honors. Ill definitely chance you back
Really emphasize how you contributed to your community/your responsibilities/ your leadership with your extra curriculars. Your GPA is a little low but great since you’re at a rigorous private school, I think you’re going to be okay just make sure you’re working hard your senior year. Pull your SAT score up significantly and I think you’ll be competitive for BU. Temple would be a safety, I think (are you in state?? You should be fine even if you’re out of state.) Northeastern is going to be hard, as is Emory. Have you taken the most rigorous course load at your school?? I don’t know anyone who went to Bentley so I can’t help with that one, but I have friends who have gone to all the others!
Your ECs are solid, and you have clear leadership roles. Your GPA/ SAT might be a little on the low end, but since your school is very rigorous, you’ll still in a decent position for your class rank. Get your SAT to 1400, and I think you have a decent chance at getting into one of your reaches.
You have great ECs that highlight leadership as well as commitment. Your GPA is a bit low and same with SAT. If you can score higher on the next test then that will be good. Northeastern and Emory are reaches, as you know, but if you could pull your SAT up, you would have a better chance.
Pretty great if you are poor/URM/first gen/female/not from a coast/legacy/great athlete.
Preferably a combination of those things.
Do you have any hooks? If you do these change.
Northeastern- Reach/ High Reach
Emory - High Reach
Temple- Match
BU- High Match/ Reach
Maryland- Match
Bentley- Safety
Elaborate on what you mean by hooks. @VANDEMORY1342
I can definitely see you at Temple, Maryland, and Bentley. If you can get your SAT score to around 1400, these schools are much more likely to accept you. Northeastern and BU are much harder cases, but I think you already knew that. Good luck! Maybe chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2006599-what-are-my-chances-ohio-state-michigan-nyu-cwru-george-washington-northwestern-tulane.html#latest
