I think you’ll get in. Your SSAT scores are great and so are your extra-curriculars and everything else. Keep us posted! I’m applying out too, but just Middlesex.
Btw aice and AP are NOT equivalent. I also go to school in Fl, and all of the aice kids get teased (gently of course) about taking the easy way out. Colleges can see aice average grades and scores, and aice is known to be easier and just a way to play the gpa game.
I almost took aice english language, but I did AP instead once I heard about all of the problems with aice. When I walked into the AP lang classroom a week in to school and introduced myself and explained that I switched from aice, my new teacher said, “Good on you for getting out of there before it’s too late!”
AP is better.
Heyyyy, saw you’re applying to Taft (I’m a Taftie 2023)! I think your scores are solid! A key point that I really hope you mentioned was community service, as our school motto is based off of serving the community.
You would also be an URM, which is good. As far as I know, we don’t have many Asian males from US states other than CT.
Good luck, I’m rooting for you!
@ceruleanistic, my child will be going to Taft this fall, can you tell me a little on what they can expect as a 9th grader? Dorm choice, what to bring( essentials) what to leave, classes etc
Thank You?
