Chance me? Please?

As you can see by my user name, I'm an idealist. I'm applying to UW-Madison, Minnesota-Twin Cities (borderline safety), Dartmouth, William and Mary, Macalester, and NYU. I also got into Northland College as a super-safety.

Chance me:

GPA: 3.4 (25 out of 90), no weighted grades, super small school, but pretty competitive grade wise, my senior grades are very good though so far..

ACT: 31 (35 English, 31 Math, 32 Reading, 25 Science)

EC's: Senior Class President
Forensics (24/25, Silver State Medalist)
7 High School Theatre Productions
SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions)
Editor of School Newspaper
Varsity Cross Country Letter

Awards and stuff: Honor Roll
High Honor Roll
Student of the Month
Faculty VIP
Who's Who Among American High School Students nominee

Thanks a lot!

PS: I haven't taken SAT II's yet, but admissions said it's okay if I take them in January even though it's past deadline..

Bump. I'm also a shift manager at work.

I don't think you're going to Dartmouth next year, sorry. I just think that you have generic ECs and not many of them. Your GPA is low and your ACT is average. This does not bode you well for Ivy league admissions my friend.

I agree...Dartmouth is getting harder and harder to get into...people here are ridic. I thought my class was competative, but looking at the '10s stats...very high sats, amazing ECs etc... Once you get in, it gets even tougher!

Im not trying to cut your acheivements down or anything but im pretty sure everyone got the "Who's Who Among American High School Students nominee" thing. You might not want to put that on your app.

You don't seem to stand out.

Bit of a reach, but still possible.

It is a bit of a reach, mainly with your ECs, but you should definitely go for it.

Reach, but I have almost the same stats as you, and I'm also applying! Good luck to us both. :)

BTW, I'm retaking SAT IIs in January too, and I called them, and they said its not too late.
