Recs: macroeconomics honors professor & the CEO of the company I work at

Only college I applied to: Penn (wharton)
I was planning on applying to more, but I didn't take the SAT 2s so that will probably ruin any chances. If there's still some colleges I could apply to please let me know. I'm a finance major minoring in econ so any business schools would be great. If I dont make it this year I'll retry next year when HS stats wont hurt me anymore.

to be honest, your stats arent fabulous, the community service and stuff is really good, but your greades and stuff are kinds just average. i don't think that you have a great chance, but i know that essays and recommendations are soooo important and influential. just apply and see what happens, you should maybe try to apply to ross at umich. it is really competitive, but i dont think that you can apply next year, as they have a 3 year program. you should definately take sat iis to boost your stats, and it allows admissions officers to rank you with other applicants (even though i really dont think that theymeasure anything), high numbers look good. good luck though, if you have flawless essays and a true drive for business, then i dont see why you wouldnt be a competitive applicant.

Pitt isn't my type of school. honestly, I know I messed up in HS and now I have to pa the cost. i mean in grade 9 I wasn't really worried about the stuff. Plus I had some really bad years grade 10 & 11, the most vital years. Here's a breakdown of my grades per year
9th: 3.7
10th: 3
11: 3.1
12: 3.8

I had some very serious problems, but didn't add them because it'll look like excuses. I also didn't know about umich's 3 year program. I only applied to penn b/c i started the app before any of the others and already paid. Then I found out I got screwed in calculus and was forced to drop it. So i dint do the other apps. Next year, when they dont use HS grades I'm definitely applying to roughly 8 schools if i dont get into wharton.

Im sorry but i dont think you have a shot at Wharton...esp as a transfer student your also competing with all the UPENN CAS kids as well. I mean you did very well so far but just not wharton material...esp with low SATS and HS grades. You would deff need atleast a 3.7 to be marginally competitive. wait another semester ad get your grades up it would really help.
But on another note GOOD LUCK!!!

I am not sure but I feel if you can show your passion, you might move the admission officer I am also applying for transfer to Penn from Michigan

lol
I don't think much about it at all now///

Thank you to everyone. I was once deadest on NYU. But then I researched Penn and fell in love. and yes, I'm VERY passionate. My essays where about my passion for business, both of them. I know I'm a reach, but I genuinely hope they see my EC's and realize that I put in mass amounts of work .

^I'll just interpret those as "no chance" but I appreciate the replies. Any more? And yes you can come in and post "slim to none" or "none at all"
