Chance me please?

I'm really worried about applying to college soon so I just wanna know how I'm looking for UCSD and maybe the other major UCs.

In-state
Weighted GPA: 3.69
Unweighted: 3.0
EC: track, tennis, red cross club, and some other stuff I can't recall right now
SAT: 1900
SAT II: USH 720, BIO 650

I'm going to retake SAT and SAT IIs during the fall, and I was wondering what what scores I should shoot for.

Thanks in advance for helpful responces!

it looks fine but your real problem is your GPA...and there's really nothing you can do about it right now... to be safe, I would say that you have to increase your SAT score to at least 2050 to make up for your gpa. Right now it's a slight reach. good luck dude. remember, write good essays about struggles or hardships or great achievements....that gives you a lot of points

shoot for above 2000 and try to pull gpa up to at least 3.9

reach --> your gpa is way too low

are people being too sacrastic when it comes to saying that a 3.6 something is out of reach? I think that anything that is a 3.5 or greater is pretty good. What is the difference between weighted and unweighted gpa. I'm confused.

the average incoming gpa for SD is a 4.1. the average incoming SAT is a 1950.

There is a huge difference between a 3.6 and 4.1 GPA.

In my opinion, getting into SD with your stats is going to be hard.

and he can't possibly even have a 3.69 uc gpa...maybe 3.45...but there's no way only 8 semester weighted could increase your gpa 0.7 and still meet the requirements on a-g courses

it won't matter what he "pulls" his gpa to, ucs don't look at senior year grades til the summer after.

Err... first off I'm not a "he" and my bad I calculated the unweighted incorrectly.
It's actually 3.41.
Ok the average GPA for incoming people is quite high, but isn't this the "middle" which means there could've quite possible been numerous people admitted who had lower GPAs?
Right now I can't do anything about my low GPA, but I hope that working on my SAT score will help.

yes, since raising your gpa won't help your admission to the ucs at this point, trying to raise your sat is definitely good...

i think it's too late for you to redeem yourself, sorry. I'm only trying to be practical.
