Dont have much opportunities in Nigeria

Wow...your credentials are very similar to mine. Also, it seems to me that you currently reside in Nigeria and will apply as an international student - I am an international applicant as well!

Colgate boasts the acceptance rate of 10% for international applicants, whereas the overall acceptance rate was 25.5% last year. It does not make much sense, but what I have found out from communicating with people from the admissions office is that a) many international applications do not get completed, thus not considered for admission; b) financial status is key since Colgate has limited funding for financial aid for int'ls (yet still very good compared to other LACs).

I think as internationals we definitely need to go ED. Bumping your SAT score up (Colgate does not look at the writing section) and keeping your GPA up will give you a decent shot at getting in. Good luck!
