I didn’t list all of ECs or go in depth, give a brief comment? Thanks

Right now with your GPA and ACT, you would be admitted to CGS. A lot will depend on your essays.

whats the difference btwn CGS and the other..?

Do a search on this forum for College of General Studies or CGS. It has been discussed at length. You can also get this information from the BU website.

You won't succeed in college if you don't know how to do basic research.

I'm curious:

Not to diss BU or anything, but I'd expect a person with those stats to be accepted to BU without a hitch. I was told that BU might be a near-safety with my significantly less-impressive background of:

GPA: 3.5 Weighted (around 3.2-ish otherwise, maybe?)

No extracurriculars

SAT:
Critical Reading - 800
Math - 700
Writing Skills - 800

SAT II:
Math IIC - 800
US History - 700

APs:
US History - 5

a lot of people have this impression because of the rankings in the US news magazine, but thats all that should lead you to believe that this is the case.. BU is more difficult of a school than harvard, once youre in, and your lower GPA, awesome SAT's, but lack of EC's MIGHT put you into CGS. There's plenty of cases of kids that I know that get into Johns Hopkins and Columbia and turn those schools down for BU. Sorry to disappoint you, but if you think that BU is a safety, you'll probably have to lower your standards for other schools as well. BU would be more of a reach for you.

oh, and I need to mention, The classes I've taken:
All Honors/ APs throughout high school.
AP Classes: USH, Calc AB, Calc BC, Human Geography, Economics, Biology
College level classes: Linear Algebra, Calculus III (Taking this semester)

yea, that helps cuz its higher difficulty, but id just say to try to up your sat/act and get really good recommendations and write a stellar essay
