You're worried? Looks like you have pretty crazy stats, IMHO.

well, thanks :)
i'm just worried because i saw some stellar stats and ECs on people who didn't get into basically the same schools i'm applying to

that's bull crap that you got worried...you just wanted to post your amazing stats like everyone else on this forum.

You're in everywhere.

I think you would be in anywhere also. Great stats.

ha, thanks madboy i'll take that as a compliment. but honestly, i just wanted honest opinions from ppl who seem like they know what they're talking about (relatively)

You might want to take a look at the Multiple Degree Programs section considering you're applying to some of those :).

I am not sure about your extra curriculars, but I think the top tier schools might resent your low AP scores. I am still a Junior who is a global nomad and in 2 years, I've take 9 AP courses and haven't missed a single "5"

Though you may not believe it, numerical/quantitative data and leadership are perhaps the most important aspects. According to leadership, you seem fine, and your academics seem alright, except you could have done better on your AP tests as well as taking more subject tests. Your SATI scores are stellar, but Colleges put more weight on AP scores and Subject Tests than SATs and GPA.

Overall, I think your chances at the HYP are around 15~20% (which is still pretty high). If you'd just gotten all 5's on your APs, you'd probably have an almost seamless resume.

Anyways, I wish you best of luck.
(BTW, I only have better grades and AP scores than you, but your ECs are absolutely amazing, which I think you should emphasize on your essays)

Best
Kowloon

thanks so much for your honesty kowloon, what you pointed out is EXACTLY why i'm so worried about even say, duke. i realize my gpa/rank and AP scores are low, but theres nothing i can do about those now. i'll only have 10 APs done by the end of this year but thats really only because my school doesnt offer that many APs at all. i dont think i have time to take more than 3 subject tests..i know i can take up to 3 in one sitting but i'd rather know i have a really good chance of scoring pretty high on a few tests than having a lot of tests but scoring lower.

thanks to everyone else who replied too! :) any more opinions, anyone?

oh, and i'm only applying harvard/yale as a snowballs chance in hell type thing. theres a few people around my area who got in with way better resumes than mine soo yeah i'm not hoping for anything haha. i'm just crossing my fingers for brown w/o PLME or upenn or something

You know you'll pretty much get in anywhere midget except maybe Harvard. Oh and i stole your format to do my own chance thing.

LEMUR!!! i'll go chance ya too hahaha

id say your in at all except for rice/baylor, plme at brown, and washington st louis thing. you have excellent stats but those programs are super hard to get into and there basically reaches for everyone. personally, i know a few people who got into rice/baylor and they were absolutely amazing. great scores and jaw dropping ec's . the only thing that really hurts you for these is a lack of medical related ec's.

sorry, i didnt realize you were applying to harvard and yale too. you have a really good shot at them, but then again it is harvard and yale.

Oh, another recomendation would be not to overwhelm the admissions dean with too much. Most schools will view such a list as impressive, while the VERY top such as HYPS will view it as a mere flattering and shallow contributions (that is why it is absolutely CRITICAL that you write about a specific EC experience in depth and color while free responding

yes, i am writing about my research project in-depth, and am relating that to medicine. would that count as a medical EC? also, i volunteered a lot at my local hospital...again, medical ec? i don't really know what counts and what doesn't.

i realized i made a mistake including so much after i sent in my common app to emory, so i can't change that now. if i have time, i'll fill out HY and the BA/MD programs' individual applications and hone my resume more. then again, on the common app, i sent in the little stuff in a supplemental document entitled "Additional Activities and Honors". does that make any difference?
