BTW I don't know for sure if i got ELC to this school. I got elc to Davis, SB, SC, Merced, and Irvine, They all say "Guaranteed Admission" but on the UCSD ELC paper they sent me it says "Congrats for applying...you qualify for ELC, We Want you to Apply to UCSD"

So what are my chances? What are my chances to UCSB, UCD, UCI, UCB, UCLA,

anyone please?

You’re fine for all of them

what do u mean by fine? like safety?

gl, u have a good chance

I wouldn’t use the word “safety”. However, are you sure that’s your UC GPA? I get a 4.05 when I do it. You only get a maximum of 8 extra points, meaning that only 4 AP classes are weighted. In light of that, I guess I would have to go back and say UCLA and Berkeley are slight reaches. Your stats are a “match” for UCSD.

oh well if that’s the case then i still calculated a 4.15…thanx for ur input…

its no making much sense 5+4+5+5+5+5+5+5+4+3+4+3+4+4+3+3+4+4+4+4 comes out to 83. I divied that by my classes, its 4.15, however, someone else a long time ago told me that my uc gpa is 4.05 can u tell me what i did wrong?

Your UC GPA is 4.15. Your calculations in your post directly above this one are correct.

EDIT: You’ll be into UCSD without a problem. UCLA - match/slight reach. UCB - slight reach. I’m sure you’ve seen the UCSD point system site so you probably already know you’re above that line. Cal and UCLA are tricky since your stats are a bit below their usual acceptee but you should be fine.

your like a match/slight safety

should i post my AP scores? Since i did bad on all of them?

i tihnk youre a match… how bad is bad? like 2s? or 1s?

What are your goals? Many of these colleges don’t just want a laundry list of volunteering, they want consistency. If you’re into math, a large portion of your e.c should revolve around math-related programs. You clearly are an accomplished student, and your race puts in a nice position among applicants…so good luck.

Also, don’t list hours - reviews will think you’re lawyering minutes. Any courses above 20 hours, just list the dates. I.E, I was active in Boys and Girls club of America between August 21st, 2006 - September 8th, 2007. That looks a lot better than tallied hours, as colleges are fully aware of hour embellishment.

You’ll easily get into UCSD, UCI, UCDavis, and UCSB - but UCLA and UCB are still up for bargain. You either have to be an average academic with superior e.c (one that shows a true goal an interest, rather than just “helping”), or super-duper score wh0re with steroid GPAs and baby-kissing volunteering.

Good luck!

i thinkyou’re in!
