Welcome to the official "chances" thread. Post your stats here and let the UCLA experts <a href="read:%20flopsy%20:rolleyes:">b</a>** tell you how your chances for admission are!</p>

<p>Oh, and no refunds, exchanges, or amortization of goodwill allowed.</p>

<p>I should define my terms...</p>

<p>Imagine a bell curve. The x is the mean admit (the average person who gets in.) Less than one standard deviation to the left and right is "match. That means that you are basically the average admit. More than one standard deviation to the left, and you are a "slight reach." That means that you are just slightly below trend. One to the right, and you are a "safe match." That means you are slightly above trend.</p>

<p>That's all it means. I don't give percentages because I believe that they are disingenuous when you take into account all the factors that go into admission.

<p>Note: Because I did a semester abroad, it was difficult to expand my ECs because I was away from all of them. My TYG ECs take up most of my time in the year, and I was able to continue with those while in Israel.</p>

<p>I’m not sure about the rank at my school but it can’t be very high since we’re one of the most rigorous schools in california; about 20-30 valedictorians per year and maybe 50 people to Cal, 30 to LA, and 60 or 70 to SD every year…</p>
