<p>haha - that award looks a lot better on paper than it really is - i won with a 5:14, which is a terrible time for high school - it’s not even close to qualifying for sectionals.</p>
<p>BUT…the favorite broke his arm, and the other guy who beat me got DQ’d…go figure. </p>

<p>I love the California high school system… There are some notorious schools where you can rank below the 50th percentile of your class with a >2200 SAT I score, and some lesser-known schools where you can be the valedictorian with a <1800 SAT I score. :rolleyes:</p>

<p>Do you have a choice between IB and APs? I’d go for APs in that case since UCLA’s policies are more receptive to AP credit.</p>
