Misc.
I only live with my father(he’s a single parent). Total annual income is less than $20,000. Don’t know if that plays a role. I’m also going to be a first-generation college student. Neither of my parents have even graduated high school.

So, in closing, please chance me. This is really my #1 choice school to go to. Hoping I have a chance =)

Maelstorm: Your UCGPA is 3.72 and your SAT is 1810, both significantly below average. Your personal background has a number of plus factors for you and extracurriculars are very good, though. Still, with the academic statistics, I’d say you’re a reach for UCLA, but a match for all other UCs other than Cal.

Oh, hmm.. I asked some other people about the UC GPA and they said it was 3.818 because the Honors US history class gets the extra 1 pt. boost (didn’t know that either, til I checked UC website). Well anyways, if I break 2000 on the SAT can I at least upgrade to slight reach?

If you break 2000, you’re on par for the course, I think.

Can anyone else chance me please? :)

Your GPA is keeping you down, I’d have to agree with flopsy with his chance, but your CC classes may bump you up.
