Chance me? Please! =)

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site, discovered it with a friend, and would love to ease some anxiety. I've applied ED1 to Kenyon - I submitted my application on October 4th and have been sifting through the mail religiously ever since, even though I know I shouldn't expect anything until December. Could anyone chance me?

Part time job approx. 20 hours/week 40 hours/week during the summer
I attended the Kenyon Review's Young Writer's program this past summer, and interviewed while I was on campus. I've been in close contact with my admissions officer, and have been keeping her posted about any updates to my file. I've been selected as one of ten semi-finalists for the United States Youth Senate Program, and will find out if I am a senator in mid-December. Is there anything else that I should do to make up for less-than-stellar math grades during high school? It's definitely not my strong point!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! =)

What is your unweighted GPA?

My school doesn't tell me. I'm in the top 20% of my class though - does that help? My average is about a 94%.

I feel your activities lack a bit in substance, but the job should cover that if it was something beyond "video game tester" ;) The KR program will boost you some, and overall I think you are strong enough to get in.

Thanks for your help. =)

You look like you have a great chance of getting in. Be sure to apply to several schools because you just never know for sure. Also, scholarship offers have a way of getting you look at each school in a different light. Good luck to you.

Is ED1 not binding anymore?

It's still binding. I applied to several schools anyway, just so that I wouldn't be stuck with a rejection letter and a month to fill out 7 other applications.

I would say that your chances are very high. I would be surprised if you were rejected.

Thank you all so much. Maybe now I can stop obsessively running to the mailbox every day after school.

Even though we all know that's never going to happen.
